Founded in Georgetown in 1968, 756 Wild Goose Squadron cadets have been actively engaged in weekly training and community events for over 55 years! 

The Air Cadet Program is structured around three aims: To Develop in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership. To promote physical fitness. To stimulate an interest in the air element of the Canadian Forces.

If you are interested in joining 756 Wild Goose Squadron, or just curious about us, the Squadron parades every Monday evening at the J.R. Barber Armoury from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 pm, September to June. However please come after 7 PM to talk with an Officer. The Armoury is located at 91 Todd Rd. Georgetown. If you any questions they can be submitted to info@756sqn.com.

Next Parade Night

Next parade night is Monday 29 April 2024 at 1830 (6:30 PM) and is a Regular Parade Night. Dress for cadets is FTUs, or white dress shirt, black tie, black pants, black socks and shoes; if you have not been issued a uniform yet.

This is a mandatory night for all cadets. If you are unable to attend, you must submit an Absence Request (available to registered web site users only). The request must be sent by noon of a Parade night. 

  • Consult the CJCR Orders of Dress if you have any questions on uniform and dress, including grooming (hair, beards, etc).
  • Parents are encouraged to attend Closing Announcements in person at 2045 hrs (8:45 pm).

Weekly Announcements – 22 April 2024

  1. Engine’s Class: Tuesdays from 1900 to 2100 hrs (7:00 PM to 9:00 PM) at The Shop (address has been provided to cadets attending class). Dress is comfortable civilian attire.   1. Drill Team (Mandatory for all Team Members): Thursdays from 1800 to 1930 hrs (6:00 PM to 7:30 PM) at St George's Anglican Church (60 Guelph St. Georgetown).   1. Candlelight Vigil: This activity takes place on Wednesday 1 May from 1830 to 2000 hrs (6:30pm – 8:00pm). Every year, the squadron supports the local Legion by attending a Candlelight Vigil at the Georgetown Cenotaph. This counts towards community service hours. Uniform is C1 (full uniform with medals) or black and whites if the cadet has not yet been issued a uniform. Meet at the parking lot at Edith and Mill St. in Georgetown.   1. Spring FTX: May 3rd to 5th 2024 held at Blackdown Cadet Training Center at CFB Borden. This is a multi-unit exercise with 197, 756 and 892 squadrons participating with over 200 cadets. Transportation, kit list, and permission forms will be provided one week prior to the FTX.   1. Absence Request Form: Please fill out the Absence Request Form beforehand, if you are going to be absent for any activities. This must be completed NLT (no later than) noon of a parade night, for us to update the absentee list. If not, you may get a phone call regardless.   1. CADET365: This is the primary online platform we use to communicate with Cadets, distribute files and paperwork, publish the Squadron Calendar, etc. All cadets MUST log into, and update your passwords, for Cadet365 if you have not done so. Our next Bingo Night is set for April 26th 2024.  Come and join us for great fun at the Legion in Georgetown!!!  All are invited (age 19+ and no cadets).
