 756 Sqn Air Cadets – New Recruit Parent Information Night

 Date: Monday, September 14, 2026
 Time: 1830 hrs (6:30 PM) sharp
 Location: Col Barber Armoury 91 Todd Rd, Georgetown ON

 Important Details 

• Please arrive by 1820 hrs to allow yourself sufficient time to park and find your way to the parade square.
• Meeting will start promptly at 1830 hrs.
• Each new recruit MUST attend with ONE parent or guardian only.
• No siblings, please – this meeting is not suitable for younger children.
• Returning cadets do not attend on Sept 14, 2026. Returning cadets start Sept 21, 2026

 What to Bring:

• Cadet’s Health Card
• Birth Certificate or Passport for ID verification

First parade night of the 2026/2027 Training Year is Monday 21 September 2026 at 1830 (6:30 PM). Dress is C1 (Full Uniform with medals). 

If your DEU’s no longer fits, you are to wear FTU’s. You wear the highest order of dress that you have been issued.

If you have not been issued a uniform or neither of your issued uniforms (DEU/FTU) fit then wear white dress shirt, black tie, black pants, and black shoes.

This is a mandatory night for all cadets. If you are unable to attend, you must submit an Absence Request (available to registered web site users only). The request must be sent by noon of a Parade night. 

• Consult the CJCR Orders of Dress if you have any questions on uniform and dress, including grooming (hair, beards, etc).
• Parents are encouraged to attend Closing Announcements in person at 2045 hrs (8:45 pm).

2. Drill Team- On Thursdays from 1800 to 1930 hrs (6:00 PM to 7:30 PM) at St George's Anglican Church (60 Guelph St. Georgetown). Dress is comfortable civilian attire but bring your boots and wedge. 3. Band- On Thursdays, from 1930 to 2100 hrs (7:30 PM to 9:00PM) at St George's Anglican Church (60 Guelph St. Georgetown). If you can play an instrument and read sheet music, come on out. 4. 242 Sports Competition (Orangeville) Mandatory - on Saturday March 30, 2024 from 0830 to 1600 hrs (8:30 AM to 4:00 PM) Orangeville Fairgrounds 247090 Side Rd 5, Mono, ON L9W6K5. Parental pick-up/drop off required, lunch will be provided. 7. Absence Request Form- Please fill out the Absence Request Form beforehand, if you are going to be absent for any activities. This must be completed NLT (no later than) noon of a parade night, for us to update the absentee list. If not, you may get a phone call regardless. 8. CADET365- This is the primary online platform we use to communicate with Cadets, distribute files and paperwork, publish the Squadron Calendar, etc. All cadets MUST log into, and update your passwords, for Cadet365 if you have not done so.
