Here are the upcoming activities for the next few weeks:
Annual Validation Forms - Due for ALL returning cadets. If you have lost it please contact Capt Palla for a replacement (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). Cadets that do not return their form by 30 November WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARADE.
CADET365 - This is the primary online platform we use to communicate with Cadets, distribute files and paperwork, publish the Squadron Calendar, etc. All cadets MUST log into, and update your passwords, for Cadet365 if you have not done so. In addition, once signed into CADET365, all Cadets must complete the Cyber Awareness course ASAP. Course is located here.
Mess DInner - Save the date, for Wednesday 7 December, for our Annual Mess Dinner. This is a formal Mess Dinner, to be held at 1830 hrs (6:30 PM) at North Halton Golf Club, and is a part of the mandatory training for cadets. In a departure from previous years, the Mess Dinner is only for cadets this year, no parents. More information to follow in coming weeks. Merit Review Board - Open to Flight Sgts and WO2s ONLY. Practice session to be held Saturday 26 Nov and Saturday MRB on 3 Dec. Contact Capt Siekierko (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) for further information.
Band - The Squadron Band will be restarting in the new year. If you are able to play an instrument and are interested in joining, please sign up here. This is a military brass and reed marching band. Prior musical experience is a must.
Ground School - on Tuesdays at the Armoury. Parents are welcome to attend. Course times: 1900 to 2100 hrs (7 PM to 9 PM). Dress is comfortable civilian attire for cadets. A required text book, From The Ground Up, will need to be purchased.
Drill Team - on Thursdays at St Andrew's United Church (89 Mountainview Rd South, Georgetown) on from 1800 to 2000 hrs (6:00 PM to 8 PM). Dress is comfortable civilian attire for cadets, but bring your boots and wedge .Contact Capt Laverty (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) if you have questions. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity to polish up your drill skill! Open to all cadets.
