756 Wild Goose Royal Canadian Air Cadets          "The Sky Is Our Home"

Here are the upcoming activities for the next few weeks:
 
Poppy Campaign - This will take place on Friday and Saturday Oct 28 & 29 and is in support of our primary sponsor, Branch 120 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Sign up here.There will be 3 shifts: Friday evening, Saturday AM, Saturday PM. Lunch will be provided for cadets participating in both Saturday shifts. Dress is full uniform for cadets. Community Service Hours will apply. Halloween - Monday 31 Oct will be a parade night however, the level five cadets are cooking up a fun night of spooky activities for Halloween. Dress is appropriate costume of your choice. There will be prizes and treats as well!
 
Legion Dinner - Saturday 5 Nov, 1800 to 2100 hrs (6 PM to 9 PM). 12 Volunteers are needed to assist with this activity. Sign up here. Dress is full uniform for cadets. Remembrance Day - On Sunday November 6 there are two public parades that the Squadron supports on Remembrance Day. Participation is MANDATORY for all cadets. Dress is full uniform for cadets. Community Service Hours will apply. Timings will be published shortly.
In addition, we need cadets for:
  • Cenotaph Guard (3 cadets, with uniforms)
  • Flag Party (5 cadets, with uniforms)

Ground School - on Tuesdays at the Armoury. Parents are welcome to attend. Course times: 1900 to 2100 hrs (7 PM to 9 PM). Dress is comfortable civilian attire for cadets. A required text book, From The Ground Up, will need to be purchased.
 
Drill Team - on Thursdays at St Andrew's United Church (89 Mountainview Rd South, Georgetown) on from 1800 to 2000 hrs (6:00 PM to 8 PM). Dress is comfortable civilian attire for cadets, but bring your boots and wedge .Contact Capt Laverty (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if you have questions. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity to polish up your drill skill! Open to all cadets.

Notes:
  • If you are going to be absent please fill out the Absence Request Form beforehand
  • A Canada Goose jacket (brown) was left behind on the parade square after 24 October Parade. Capt Laverty has it and it can be picked up on Tuesday at Ground School, Thursday at Drill Team Practice, or on Monday 31 October Parade.
